Abstract

On September 28, 2011, the Fiscal Council of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and the Slovenian Economists' Association held a conference entitled Fiscal Policy in the Light of the Slovenian Economic Recovery. A wide range of experts and professionals in the field of public finance, both professional and private, were invited to participate. The written papers prepared for this conference, as well as a transcript of the participants' discussions, are published in this special issue of the Economic and Business Review.

The published papers and discussions offer valuable insights and suggestions from experts that can be used to develop an appropriate, credible and authoritative approach to address the most pressing and challenging public finance issues.
