Abstract

Although iterative and continuous improvements are common in the design and development of contemporary information systems, some interesting research directions are arising from general trends towards user-oriented data-driven approaches. Since this is a relatively active research area, the paper aims to provide a brief overview of the main concepts and research directions and to define the setup and the context for the proposed user-oriented data-driven information systems development framework. Experts from the field of information systems are interviewed and their feedback is used to evaluate different aspects of the proposed framework.
