Abstract

The field of economics is an important part of the Slovenian academic and research environment. According to Sicris data (April 2019), there are a total of 1,517 researchers working in this field in Slovenia; 156 of them, or about 10%, are at the School of Economics and Business at the University of Ljubljana. The economy is a complex organism whose dynamics are shaped by many actors. In the current Slovenian issue of the Economic and Business Review, several authors shed light on numerous current aspects and current challenges of Slovenian development. By applying the latest theoretical findings to examples (mostly) from the Slovenian economy, the authors efficiently translate theoretical knowledge into efforts to improve economic development prospects in Slovenia.
